Flagship course
Internal Advancement Studio
A six-week employment consultation program for professionals in Germany preparing a promotion case or an internal transfer plan.
Learning outcomes
- Produce a one-page promotion narrative aligned to your employer’s level language
- Choose between promotion, lateral transfer, or a staged hybrid path with explicit trade-offs
- Sequence stakeholder conversations so the first ask is not also the hardest ask
- Draft a transfer brief that receiving teams can evaluate without guesswork
Modules
Each week ends with a concrete deliverable, not a reflection journal.
- Module 1 — Decision frame · Separate ambition from a defendable case; map appraisal and posting calendars.
- Module 2 — Stakeholder Mapping Lab · Chart sponsors, blockers, and informal influencers with a contact sequence.
- Module 3 — Evidence pack · Convert work into level-appropriate proof tied to Leistungsbeurteilung criteria.
- Module 4 — Transfer Case Briefing · Write and pressure-test an internal transfer brief for HR and receiving leads.
- Module 5 — Conversation rehearsal · Practice manager and peer discussions with pushback scenarios.
- Module 6 — Commit & monitor · Lock a go / wait / redirect plan with a 90-day review checkpoint.
Instructor
Nora Weiss advises internal mobility cases across Bavaria and remote cohorts. She previously led talent programs at a mid-sized industrial group and now coaches specialists and first-time managers preparing promotion and transfer moves.
Participant notes
“Module 4’s transfer brief format got my receiving lead to answer in writing within a week — that alone justified the cohort fee.”
“Clear on process. I needed more industry examples from retail, and the peer clinic sometimes drifted, but the evidence pack stuck.”
FAQ
Do you negotiate salaries as part of this course?
No. This studio focuses on promotion readiness and internal transfer planning. Compensation conversations may appear as a later step, but they are not the core curriculum.
Will this work if my company has a Works Council?
We cover typical Betriebsrat touchpoints for internal postings and role changes. We cannot guarantee outcomes — Works Council processes vary by employer agreement.
What is a real limitation of the program?
We cannot change a hiring freeze, a closed grade band, or a manager who simply will not sponsor you. The studio improves the quality and timing of your case; it does not override organizational constraints. If those blockers dominate, we often recommend waiting or redirecting rather than forcing an ask.
Is the fee refundable?
See our Refund Policy for eligibility windows and non-refundable items.
